Basically, from ages 10-22 I'd been rockin' some variation of a short buzzcut, flattop or fade. Seven months ago, I made the decision to change things up and grow out my hair. I guess I'd been keeping it short because I have naturally wavy hair and the intermediate phase between short and sufficiently long looks terrible - I essentially have a natural perm and random Canadians thought that I might have been subtly Blasian, but I digress. One time, we were trying to figure out why I was always called the Triad boss / miscellaneous Asian gangster and of course, it came down to the hair. My friend Martin had this to say: "Your hair's too short to be a pacifist." Short hair like mine was usually found on military or gang members. If you go bald, then you've gone too far over the edge and you look harmless (think monk, grandpa, etc), unless you're Caucasian, in which case you might be terrifying (neoNazi skinheads, Britney Spears, etc).
According to a number of Rice alum, my new hair makes me look older / like a dad. I wasn't aware that I was a baby daddy, so keep a look out for a possible appearance on Maury soon.
Random: I found HK$2.10 in my backpack from this summer. Good times. My apartment's A/C decided to run low on Freon the one day this week that had a high in the mid80s. I was working from home and had all the blinds shut, all the lights off because it was hotter indoors than out. Heat + Money = Nostalgia.

Thoughts on what I should do with my hair going forward?
